I Just aquired a 96 XJ. I pieced it together and got it running. It originally came with a 23 spline aw4 with a 231 tcase. Now it has a 21 spline aw4 and a 242J Tcase. Im having linkage problems... I cannot get enough movement to get it into 4 low. Ive adjusted it as much as I can and just cant figure it out. Also the shaft that pivots is sitting angled. Its like the trans is too foward.. Its hard to explain!
