8.25 27 / 29 sp carrier compatability ?

I have a 97 XJ with the 8.25 that has the LSD ( I welded up the spiders )
I can't seem to find an open carrier from a 29 sp 8.25
I am going to get An Aussie , and I need a open Carrier to put it in
Can I put in a open 27 sp carrier in place of my welded up LSD 29 sp ?
My XJ has 4.56 gears , and is used as A DD and hard core crawler

The carriers are different, the bore(opening) for the side gears is larger for the 29 spline than it is for the 27 spline.

You will need a 29 spline carrier for the Aussie
