The Nine Principles
1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

You Are Not Alone

If you agree with at least seven of those principles, then you are not alone. Please send a digital version of your picture to: [email protected] and then stay tuned to the radio and television shows over the coming weeks to see how we intend to pull back the curtain.

Are you asking if we believe these principles to be the way things are, or the way they should be?
1. Define good. Define bad. Very vague statement.
2. No
3. Yes
4. 'Ultimate authority' for what? Do you and yours have any authority over me and mine?
5. a) yes b) should be, but not the case (see Tim Geithner et al.)
6. Yes
7. Yes
8. Hmm, what authority (see #4)?
9. See 5.b) I'm supposed to answer to the IRS, but I doubt that Mr. G will answer to me or anybody else save possibly Mr. O
Who are we supposed to send this picture to, and for what purpose? Definition needed again. Digital pic of a face, or the way we picture the 'Principles'?

You're making this way too hard.....why would the authority that my wife and I have over my family have anything to do with the authority your have over yours?

If one can't answer Yes or No to the questions without creating several different scenarios with options for each, then this ain't for you.

Twisting a wrong into a right to support a view, agenda, justify action or expense is purely politcal and at the root of what's gotten our Country into the mess it's in. Just because it can be justified, doesn't make it right. Make sense?

I was just trying for some clarification. You said/wrote/pasted 'ultimate authority' with no qualifier. Ultimate covers a lot.

Sorry, that's just the way my brain works. I find it hard to answer unclear questions, and am hesitant to do so, without clarification. If you just want a straight answer, then YES to 8 of the 9.

Not sure where that came from, but yes it does make sense.

What about the pic?

Thanks, thought you might follow the attached link for more info...... here it is.

Ok, thanks for the link, but it just reads like another of Beck's rants with no explanation. Why would I license him to use my image?
I've sent Mr. Beck an e-mail asking what the point is. We'll see where that goes.

The point is obvious if you read ALL of it, without filtering it.

What if I'm an American living in another country? Does this still apply? Give me a list of all countries with differing governing systems (Democratic, Republic, Federation, Socialist, Communist, Dictatorship, Autocracy, Tribal, et al.) and how this might affect me.

What do you mean by sacred? Sacred like money is to the greedy or sacred like icons are to some religions? Please be very precise when you clarify this for me.

What if my pursuit of happiness infringes upon someone else's pursuit of misery? Do I still have that right?

What if, what if, what if... :wow:

So basically, be a sheep and believe everything the talking head says.

So basically, be a sheep and believe everything the talking head says.

That's how our government got where it is today....bunch of sheeple believing everything they see on the news, or talk shows, or reality shows....blindly voting people into authority, while the rest of us who actually have/use our brains sit here powerless b/c the number of sheeple always outnumbers us.

OK, maybe I'm just a bit dense in the head these days, but I read the whole page a number of times. Unless I missed it, there is no specific statement of purpose.

Talking head? Are you referring to Obama, the Senate or the House?

The whole point of the project, is to show the folks in Washington that We the People are tired of business as usual.

I find ironic that so many are willing to eat a heaping plate of bullcrap, fed to them by the press and Washington, yet are scared to try something new that smells good.

These basic principles were used to found our Constitution.....look how far we've strayed from them and what has happened to our country because of this.

Believe what you want, it's your choice......but don't forget that you also choose the consequences of your actions and inactions.

The point of the original link was if you agree with 7 of the nine principles you were asked to send your photo (picture of self) to glen beck.

He was/is getting the pictures to show all the people that people still have good basic principles.

Some of you guys make things sooo much more difficult than it really is.

They are really basic questions.

I'm looking in the mirror to see if I'm upholding these values and principles myself........

Talking head refers to anyone who makes their living on political commentary, feeding party line bull to people who will listen. They exist on both sides, and I can't stand them. I also find the people who listen to them to be some of the most stubborn out there. They all seem to think that whatever Bill O'Riley/Hannity/Olbermann/Insert asshat here tell them as if it was handed down from jesus himself.

To compliment the list of 9 Principles..........

You've obviously spent little time listening to Glenn Beck or you would know that you're talking out your backside. There's no party line here, Glenn's not aligned with any party, he's aligned with the Founding Fathers and the Consitutional rights of We the People........try mounting an arguement that shows you're not just spouting the Party line next time, it will lend some credibility to your position.

BTW, I'm not affiliated with any party either, I think they are all corrupt and need to be fired.
