thanks for the info!

looks like JC Whitney carries two different part #'s.
based off the above, they carry Crown leafs:
52000051 Standard Duty, Coded LC, EC. which JCW lists for '84-'96 XJ's.
and,
52002390 Heavy Duty, Coded LS. which JCW lists for '84-'01 XJ's. (for this one, JCW will give you a manufacturer part# of: 4886185AA made by Crown)

thanks again.
i'm just gathering info and trying to find the cheapest place to get some replacement leafs, without being too oversprung or lifted.

anyone know how much they cost from the dealer?

looks like they are about ~$30 cheaper at JCW then from the above link.
plus from JCW, you can get free shipping or any number of discounts from JCW coupon codes found online, as well avoid tax.

cheaper then quadratec also.
only good thing about the dealer is you have a larger selection of part numbers too choose from.

At those prices you might as well just buy OME packs eh?

oh it has crossed my mind.
but i dont want that extra lift. i have lift shackles and poly spacers.
i dont really want the extra 2" plus that OME would give and then have to spend more money on SYE parts and front coil springs too match the rear. not too mention shocks, possibly brake lines etc. etc..

its tempting at the prices but when you add it up, more money has to be spent.

plus shipping, they come out to $116.xx.
hate to say it but JCW has the best shipped pricing i have come across, and i have been searching like a mofo.
every penny counts right now

What's the difference in the crown catalog offerings, besides standard is standard and HD is heavier duty?
41 Leaf Spring Assembly 84/01 Standard - 4 leaf 52000051AB 84/01 Heavy Duty (LS, ZGV, ZVV) 4 leaf 4886185AB 84/01 Heavy Duty (LT, ZGW, ZVW) 4 leaf 4886186AB 84/01 Heavy Duty (LK) 4 leaf 4886187AB 84/01 Heavy Duty (LN, ZUU, ZFU) 4 leaf 52000706AB

LS is a ~6" arch
LT is a ~7" arch

all the part numbers have different weight ratings.

for instance, the LS is 675lbs and the LT is ~725lbs
i think but dont quote me, that the LK is a 550-575lb spring and has a 5.75" arch

its easy to get confused by the part numbers (theres alot of them and they arent specific in description) but if you do a little research and cross reference numbers, you can figure out who sells which model and find the weight rating for each. and then if you do some searching on here for more info, you can eventually make a good basis for what is what. PITA i know!

i would've used the Old Man Emu leafs but i cant get the bolt or bushing out of my OEM shackles. and since i was installing a Teraflex 2"BB, i decided to go with OEM replacements instead. its just the way it worked out on my end.

You could just grab an old xj pack and add the main leaf to your existing pack and call it a day. Cheaper, just as good as a replacement pack, less likely to sag, same if not better ride than oem.
