First of all I apologize in advance if this has already been covered; I did search. Anyway on to my question I have an 84 cherokee 2.8 with the dreaded NP207 and I have located a NP231 out of a 4 cylinder wrangler. My question is if this would work? I have read in the past that it is possible to replace the 207 with the 231, but I was thinking that it had to be a 31 spline 231 or something like that. Any imput on this would be appreciated
