dose anyone know anythinh about thr np206, or np228/np229?

because im getting one from a friend. its coming out of a parts jeep 1984 2.8 V6 4wheel drive.

i wanna know why nobody uses it.
and can i use it for a 2 transfer case set up?

or is there a way to steel the non-slip yoak off of it?


what do you know about this?

Which one are you getting? all three you mention are different what are you installing in and mating too?

The 229 is similar to the 228 as the 229 is the replacement to the crappy 228. Also they are both AWD transfer cases and not very stout. Not practical for a heavily wheeled rig.

I'm not sure witch one it is.
Its out of an 84 2.8 auto
It would be going on to my 231

Should. I even bother with it?
Is there one better then the other.
