Will this ram work alright for hydro assist?

Here's what I ordered....I think I may have ordered the wrong adapter 90* swivel. I followed BrettM list and didn't notice the port size was different. Will an SAE 6 port still work with what I got? I guess I might have to call them in the morning and get it straight.

Just got off the phone w/ surplus center....good to go, awesome customer service and very knowledgeable....now i gotta figure out if i wanna tap the box or pay to have it done...

Do you think there is any advantage to running the swivel-ball vs. solid mount?

Wouldn't there be some play? For instance; the ram/cylinder rotation a few degrees.

my order was similar, except that I bought an extra of each fitting, just in case. my total shipped was around $130ish

sorry for my ignorance, but all you do is buy that hardware, mout the ram, and plumb the lines then your ready to go?

pretty much....but you got to drill and tap the steering box as well.

make sure the ram doesn't over-extend the knuckles by limiting it

thanks. when i get my MJ all going i might do hydro assist. would it be recomended with 34-35" tires?

could this be done on a 97 hp d30? or would it blow the knuckles off if wheels get in a bind?? ||charles||

mine is also being done on a d30. i think that as long as i limit the ram so it doesn't max out my steering radius, it will be fine. but time will tell......

I should have waited and bought that ram instead of the rubber bushing ones..err
