I have a 94 with the check enging light on, I have a scanner just cant find the port....do I even have one?? Thanks - Joe

I Believe in 96 is when they started the OBDII and it probley be under the dash and if not then under the hood.

IIRC...OBD II was introduced in the mid 90's. Your plug will be under the drivers knee panel...left side. You wont have to remove the knee panel. Just look under it.

Officially 1996 was the changeover year. Some vehicles had it earlier.

I had a 95 S10 with a hybrid OBD 1/2 system, I called it OBD 1.5, it used OBD1 codes and an OBD2 reader.

If that's official then check that location on the port. Sorry.

96 is correct. You're 94 is OBD I. The port is in the engine bay on the drivers side close to the ECU.

Hope this helps..
Kent :)
