I was hoping to find out a little more about stroking (my engine). What does it involve, what does it do fo torque, hp, gas milage that type of stuff.
Thanks for any info.

Here are a few websites I looked at before stroking my 99 4.0 liter. Do your research and it will turn out perfect for you.

http://www.jeep4.0performance.4mg.com/ Dr. Dino is the hands down expert on stroking the 4 liter engine and was a great help to me.

http://www.jeepstrokers.com/forum/ Great forum for anyone considering stroking their 4 liter.
Well that should give you more then you ever wanted to know about stroking your 4 liter.
Good luck!

I have been running my stroker for about 5 years now, its got about 30K miles. I spent about $1200-1400 at the machine shop and he got me most of my parts as well. It runs good, gets the same bad mileage as the 4.0 and has a noticable increase in power.

Just a disclaimer it will not fry the tires from 60 and eat corvettes for lunch LOL. Some of the stroker stories on the web seem a little crazy.

If I weren't also doing a motor for my barracuda I would do a different stroker. One with 4.0 rods and more attention to detail. If I wasn't rushed I would say this one had another 30hp or so in it.
