Welding RC brackets

I was thinking about tack welding my RC brackets to the frame. Just the support bracket the self tapping stuff just is not holding. I was wondering if this would weaken the frame or cause problems.

Why even tack just run a bead while your there. But yeah x2 on doing a search.
