I want to add an auxiliary fuel tank, has anyone done this or know of information on how to do this? I want to keep the stock tank and add another to add to the total fuel capacity. Dont want to carry jerry cans, I want to be able to travel nonstop if needed. Thanks in advance.

I'd think a fuel cell could be added - but you'd lose cargo space.
Are you willing to replace your tank outright? I know there are replacements out there that offer ~30 gallon capacity, vice the OEM 16 or 20.

They here run 50 litre tank under the floor on the opposite side to the muffler. You can also increase the capacity of your existing tank if you have the metal one but raising the vent tube like I show on my site. www.go.jeep-xj.info

I always hoped that they would some day come out with a '97+ tank. I've always wanted to do this.
