On and Off P0108

96 xj HO 4.0
engine light = won't idle runs jerky
stop, come out later = no check light...runs fine
go 10 min to an hour./...light comes on bad idle..runs jery, etc.

code when light on = P0108

Wellllll! since no ones posted yet I have a little more to add (I most likely talk so much cause I stuttered when I was a kid)
So I poked around the web (found out this is one hell of a good forum) and got this info from some lame jeep site..... :gee: 108 MAP sensor voltage too high. So what the hell does that mean? Help an old man out......

have you checked the vacuum line to the map is not cracked or not connected at either end?

input voltage to the map comes from the pcm, so i dont know why it would be high.

Interestingly then, note that 107 is low voltage.....LOL

There is a procedure and diagrams for testing your map sensor in a manual. I'd consider getting a meter and testing the sensor itself to see if it is bad.

As already mentioned, be sure that the vacuum source does not have a leak or a restriction.
