me if you can please i got a 1990 jeep cherokee when im driving it down the road it up shifts and down shifts all the time no matter what speed or if it is hot or cold....I changed the transmission filter & did a fluid change... Does anyone know what's going on?

i would test the tps with a meter to see if its within specs and doesnt have a flat spot.

are you running larger tires or stock size?

I agree with 89xj; verify your throttle position sensor first. Also, your vintage TPS is adjustable. Be sure it's where it needs to be....

No; they're stock size tires....

If you search the transmission issues you will find overwhelmingly it is the TPS. Even when the transmission shop tries to sell you a tranny overhaul.
