Crank Position Sensor

Hello has anyone tryed to make the cps ajustabile.have a 92 4.0 5 sp wanted to see if setting timming faster would help mpg .was told it cant be ajusted because the computer will reset no matter where the cps is .Is that true have seen hi alt cps for 90 and under.Any info will help thank you

do you mean advance rather than faster?

you can advance the timing about 2 degrees if you move the cps towards the passengerside. this can be done by slotting the mounting bracket or taking the cps off the bracket, move it over, and reattach.

or you could find a high altitude cps

will the renix models work on 92 and up was told they are complety diff crank position sencors and not interchangable I dont think they make a hi alt sencor for 92 and up if any body know where to find on let me know.So will try to slot the one I have .has anyone here done this ?

The high altitude CPS only works on the Renix systems, 90 and under.
