got a 3.5 RE lift kit, and some shocks i need to instal, just entered squad leaders course so i have absolutely no free time what so ever now for the next 2 and a half months except on holidays

anyone willing to throw a wrench party at their place for me anytime this weekend or monday, il pay for all pizza and beer of course :D

let me know if its possible thanks guys

no one? i remember when i introduced myself on these forums there was like 10 people willing to help, i was really hoping to get it done this weekend, wont have another chance till presidents day in feb

im even willing to pay like 100 bucks for helping me and letting me use your garage// tools, would be cheaper then spending like 400-700 in labor fees at 4wheelparts

I have actually been trying to figure out a way to do it at my house, but it won't be possible due to scheduling.

Is it your only vehicle ? If not bring it up and I will install it providing you have everything.

it might have something to do w/ nobody knowing where the hell menifee is...
at least i dont!

maybe the helpfull types are all busy this weekend?
my excuse is anti socialism

If you can find some people to help you out, you can use my house and garage/driveway. Many a lift has been installed here......I will be around but its my weekend with my son so I would prefer to spend the time with him (doesn't always work out that way) than wrenching. That said, I have no problem with everyone doing it here and if you run into any problems during the install, I would be willing to help with them. I just can't set aside ALL day.

Sorry Blake, I'm booked (besides having very little suspension work experience). There's a lot of other Jeep stuff going on this weekend, too, what with SD4Wheeler's Superstition event, and the Friends of Johnson Valley meeting and...

I know I've been trying to assemble parts and time to do my lift since, well, my last Jeep that burned to the floorboards over a year ago! It's getting really close for me, too. I hope it works out for you! If not, maybe it'll fly over Presidents' weekend.

There are a few wheelin' trips planned for this weekend.
I'll be in JV then off to Sky Valley.
I was stuck in Romoland yesturday waiting for a trailer, I would have
rather been installing your lift than sitting around (Romoland is near Menefee.)
Next weekend is open for me. If you want to bring it on out
to Borrego Springs.

i would help you as well but i have my son this weekend. PLus im not 100$ sure of what im doing anyway..:p

good luck!

alright well thanks guys, i will prolly either try to put it on myself with the help of a friend at the on base hobby shop where i can rent a garage, or just postpone it till another date, il keep everyone updated

Some times it takes a couple of weeks to get a lift party going.
Especially during the wheelin' season (winter.) Give these guys a two week
heads up and you may have more luck.

Probably a good plan - usually it take awhile to set up a party. Every base auto-hobby place I have wrenched at has been well equipped and usually has a pretty good tech working as manager to help with problems. Be ready to be ultra-safe with regards to using the jacks/jackstands, eye protection, ear protection for air tools, propane torch etc.

Remember to soak your fasteners with PB blaster for a couple of days prior to working the install.

Have a plan and materials for stuff that usually breaks - IE rear shock bolts etc.

Good luck - have fun - enjoy the experience.

been soaking everything in pb blaster for 2 weeks now, also i bought a little thing full of grade 8 bolts and stuff, that will cover everything that i break right, like shock bolt wise etc
