NAXJA Forum User
I am getting a diagnostic Code of 24 on a 1992 XJ with 4.0: Code 24-Throttle Position sensor voltage high or low.
How can I doagnose which and also do I need to swap the TPS or is this an adjustable thing I can fix?

OK next question is on a 92 wehre is the TPS and how wuold I test it useing a Voltage meter?

OK found it and replacement is one $40

I think I got it wet. I washed the motor the other day useing engine bright and a pressure washer. Although I didn't put the pressure washer directly on the motor I did mist it pretty good.

So new question will it dry and not throw a code or does it need replacing

Hard to say; water and electronics don't mix. I'd recommend purchasing a manual if you want to test it; you'll need a manual in the future anyways.
FSM (factory service manuals) are best; Chiltons/Haynes are just OK.
