Fox and CNN are both terrible sources of news. The best source of news you can get is outside the country.

And yea, if someone made 250K for a while it would suck to lose half your pay.

Say you make 50K a year and half your pay was taken?

Your not poor, but def does suck becuase your used to having more money.

I'd have to say if I made $250k and then lost half, it would suck, yeah but I think somehow I would manage to get by on $125k. Your problem is much less than the person who went from 50k to 25k. $25k is only just enough to get by on in most areas.
 
exactly my point, it sucks to have a pay cut of any amount. You get used to having that much money and have to cut back a lot when you don't have it.

His sarcasm was just stupid and pointless, thats why I posted.

I know quite a few people here that live fine off of that much money, taking care of the kids and a non working wife.

Actually, his point made sense, there's many people who are really hurting and having to get by on a lot less than $125k. I mean, unless you're really living it up, it's not hard to make the necessary cutbacks to get by on "only" $125k.

I know it's possible to get by on $25k, I've done it. But it was only just barely. I worked for $11/hr in Palm Springs, paying $840/ month in rent, I did it as an E3 in the Marine Corps in Oceanside paying $950/month. But if you are making $50k and decide to buy a house and you've got a car payment, getting cut to $25k can really hurt.
 
So its ok to mock someone who loses 125K but pitty on those whom haven't worked their way up to making that much?

I dont make anywhere near 50K, and I had a great christmas. I spent as much as I could to buy people things they wanted.

Someone making 250 who probably has a lot more bills and fiscal responsibilites, not counting the job probably requires a decent education is going to feel it a lot more to lose half their pay.

Either way it sucks to lose that much money, but why mock someone because they make more money than you?

Hmmm....look in the mirror...same can be said of Fox...attempt to discredit the truth when it challenges the party agenda. I am suggesting try different flavors of the Kool-Aid. The MAJORITY of Jnickel's references are from Fox.

The America's Al-Jazerra reference was not something I made up but came from a Major in Army Intelligence...yeah, yeah joke about the oxymoron...but intel officers I find to be the most gung-ho flag waving, America love it or leave it my way or the highway people in the military.

Patriot's question and are not led blindly. Yes I'm a socialist, but put America's Freedom's 1st before the greed of captialism.
