Found these at cost co the pair for $22 they are solar powered with a battery back up.

Been playing with it all night, light output is just as bright as regular battery powered lights. It holds a charge well as far as I can tell.

basically it is a rechargeable flashlight that uses sunlight to charge. makes sense.
