still no headlights? bad switch? story inside

can anybody tell me about a headlight relay? or is it just a bad switch? not getting power to the purple yellow wire(i think), cause there is another one blue yellow that runs the running lights on the first position of the switch in which I am getting power , the red ones are for the high beams, and i am getting power there, but not getting power to the thick purple yellow, and when I ran a hot wire from the battery to that wire the headlight turned on? so it could be a relay or a bad headlight switch? any advice?

Remove your airbox. Under there is the main plug for the headlight harness. I bet your plug has corrosion on it. If not it could be the hi and lo beam switch or the head light switch. You could swap the relay with a known good one.
