Hey all..
i am in the process of replacing my tranny lines to the radiator, mine leak like a sob. I cannot for the life of me get the quick release thingys to release. any tips? I searches and all i found was to cut off the old tube and double clamp new stuff on but i already have new lines so id like to use them..

I used small needle nose pliers. I had to really examine the new plastic parts with my lines to see how to get them off. PITA: was about a year ago....

Sometimes those can be difficult to get off there. I think there is a special tool for that purpose but I've always just been able to carefully use a pair regular pliers and aviod breaking of the tabs.

x2 on pliars, that's what I've always used, be gentle though. Or use the quick releasy tool, but if I have pliars available it's one less thing to buy!

I just cut mine off with a hacksaw. I couldn't get mine off for the life of me.

It takes some wiggling. I had to release all of the clamps from along the line to get enough play in the line itself, then used some needle-nose vice grips to squeeze both tabs while wiggling everything. Once I had enough play the QD popped out like there was no problem.
