mounting a CB antenna

where do most of you mount your cb antenna? I bought a 5 ft firestick antenna and the mount. I already have my cb installed and everything. Just wondering where you guys would suggest mounting the antenna?

Mines on the driver's side front fender opposite the radio antenna.

I mounted mine on the front where I could keep an eye on it, I made a bracket. It folds over flat on the hood so it won't break off and the hood helps with my ground plane.

Your best option is the middle of your roof. Second best... middle of your hood. The antenna wants a ground plane to reflect waves from and the bigger, the better.

Me too, a little closer to the windshield.

Drivers side front fender here too. I put it as close as I could fit my drill in under the hood.

Mine is where the FM antenna was.

If I had to do it again, I would just get another factory mount and install it on the driver's side.
