Xj Dana 44 Pinion Length

I am picking up a Dana 44 out of a 87 cherokee tomorrow. Will my existing driveshaft work from my Dana 35? I am worried about the length. I found the following i an old thread and didn't know if it was true. If it is then my shaft should work.

Not sure what your asking since the T-case/Trans options change.But here are my axle measuremnts from "center of axle to center of pinion yoke"
D35=11 1/2"
D44=12"
C8.25=12 5/8" "
 
IIRC,those numbers are correct or extremely close.
 
Actually, RCP I just looked at the thread and that is your quote from 1995! LOL Man, you have been on here for a while. Thanks for the info.
More like 2005,cause I didnt sign on NAXJA until 2000 and they were just getting going! Man what a difference!
