-It came out of a '96, so 27, 29 spline? I don't know?
-3.07 gears
-open diff
-No E-brake cables or brake hose (Hard lines ARE still on the axle)
-about 146K on the axle

For sale or Trade... Make an offer, just trying to get rid of it.

my 98 is a 29, dont know about 96.

Good chance it is a 29 as long as it doesnt have ABS.

96 is a 27 spline.

Most of them are 27, some of the XJs from late 96 are said to have 29... I believe there was actually a thread in the tech section yesterday about that.

edit:No ABS

I forgot to mention the axle is in Springtown, TX.
That's about 30-40 miles west of Fort Worth on 199 for the 99.997% of you who don't know where Springtown is.

I am by no means claiming to have a 29 spline axle, I am simply stating that I don't know. If someone is interested I would be more than willing to pull a shaft and count the splines but I wanted to leave the diff full of fluid for now.

Easy way to convert to 29 spline is new spider gears if need be.

8.25 never came with ABS in a XJ

I would be there in a heartbeat for it. Would be much better than the D35 I'm running right now, and the 3.07's would match till I got both regeared...Dang why can't you live in Arkansas...lol

I'm planning a trip to hot springs in Feb. I'm not real excited about fitting it in the back of the jeep but it's a possibility.
