Power steering

I just blew a hole in the power steering line that runs from my resevoir to the power steering pump. Everytime I turn the wheels fluid pumps out the hole. The hose is metal at where it connects to the resevoir (with a nut) then becomes rubber, and finally becomes metal with another nut fitting where it goes into the pump.

My questions:

1. Is that line under pressure, or could I change it myself in the garage?
2. If I can change it myself, will I need to "bleed" the system when I am done, or just keep a steady stream of fluid going into the resevoir as I turn the wheels to get the fluid into the new hose?

Thanks

you can change it yoursef...aproox 18-22 bucks....it wont be under pressure...it will self bleed by turning wheels left and right....recheck fluid...and your done....||charles||
