wiper relay noise

I bought an 88 Limited about 6 weeks ago and have noticed that when I have the windshield wipers set to intermittent the relay pops fairly loudly every time the wipers sweep. Never noticed this in any other vehicle that I've owned. Is this normal? TIA

Try a new relay. Maybe its in a location causing you to think its louder than it really is..

Heck, I would just turn the radio up.

I don't notice it in my 95 XJ but my father had an 89 plymouth sundance back in the day and you could really hear the relay. Although it was a normal relay click, not an overly loud "pop" or anything.

i have an 88 wuth a loud relay, it sounds a little louder than a heavy duty turn signal flasher.
