Cleaning the various valves on my valve cover?

it's a 98 XJ with the 4.0.
I know one of them is a PCV valve, is the other one the same? And does the front one need vacuum, or just filtered air? I have an empty vacuum nipple tapped into my intake manifold, can I just hook the line that used to go to the airbox up to the empty nipple?

Also how do I clean them?

The bigger line coming off the front needs fresh air. The line at the rear is a fixed sized hole and doesn't have a valve. It needs to go to intake vacumn. That rear line tends to get plugged up, btw. You might want to flush it with carb cleaner and blow it out.
