I have a slight somewhat minor vibes at all speeds (can feel it in the steering wheel) and was wondering if U-Joints can cause that? Its a 2WD with a D30 (converting...STILL!!).

What are the symptoms of bad ujoints and how do I check them?
Ive found a bunch of stuff on how to change them and how to check the DS ones, but not the axel ujoints.

This has slowly been getting worse, so I think its from a wearing part.

thanks

Axle joints can be checked the same way - it's just more difficult to get to them...

I'm inclined to think that wearing front axle U-joints would cause the trouble you describe, but I'm not sure. However, wheels going out of balances tends to crop up all at once...

You can also check the ball stud ends - get a large pair of channel-lock pliers, and compress the joint. The joint should compress not more than 1/8" or so, and it should recover fully.
