87/97 XJ Window compatability

Are windows interchangeable betweens older and new XJ's? I've always wanted to have tinted windows. Not sure if it'd be cheaper to get already factory tinted from a junk yard or to tint them myself. There's a 97 on Craigslist that has tinted windows in my area... just wondering if I could use those windows on my 87.

The old body style have split windows in the front

D'oh! Now that you mention it, I can see it.

So I'd need to swap with another XJ up until 95ish. How hard are the rear windows to take out/replace?
