quick oil filter adapter question

the bolt that connects the adapter to the block is also a passage way for the oil. On that bolt there are two openings. When tightening the bolt is it important that the hole lines up with the threaded pipe that the oil filter goes onto? Or will the oil freely flow no matter what way the whole end up?

If that doesn't make since here is another way to ask... when tightening the hex bolt can I just go at?

The bolt orientation doesn't matter. If you look at the adapter you'll see it opens up inside around where the holes are. So yeah, have at it. The adapter should have a small pin sticking out so it will only go in one position.

Thanks for the help. Yeah, pressure valve (I think) coming out of the block limits how the adapter can be mounted.

Thanks again.... this site is worth thousands of dollars and hours with the amount of info that can be had.
