Spark Plug Cable Sequence

My first post and a dumb question to boot.

I was replacing my spark plug cables and got the sequence confused when my wife distracted me. There is a #1 on the rotor cap. Does that mean I start there and go counter or clockwise to cable up to the proper plugs?

There are no other numbers embossed on the cap. Help!

153624 if I am correct, it is stamped on the top of the intake manifold too.

15 is too young.
36 is too old.
24 is just right...

Clockwise (from above) on the distributor cap.
