My vehicle has some extended down time so I ripped out the dash. The factory used as much duct tape for wiring the interior as the engine compartment. I unwrapped all the wire cleaned it removed the goo and dirt inspected the wire for problems then rewrapped with some new vinyl. The duct tape splices in good condition I fixed with heat-shrink others were heavily corroded some to the point where I had to replace sections of the wire.
