stock rubber engine shield question

Hey guys,

I'm planning to install an engine skid plate on my XJ but I still have the stock rubber engine shield on it. Will I have to cut it out in order to install the skid, or will the skid fit over it?

You need to remove the rubber shield, it should just have some plastic fasteners holding it in.
