A Time To Grieve

By INVAR

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4

Today is a time to grieve.

For those in America that cherished our biblical foundations and the liberties granted us by Almighty God, it is now a time to grieve.

America has chosen as it’s chief executive: a Marxist, with deep ties to Socialist and ethnocentric radicalism, upon whose stated agenda during the campaign is the greatest threat to your liberty that has ever come against it.

America has selected as President, a man who has said that America “Must break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution”.

This man has said that he will “fundamentally change the United States of America”.

This man’s entire campaign has been one of “change”. To “change America” into something it was never intended to be; a Socialist tyranny.

Obama has already taken two oaths of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States - two oaths he has never honored, indeed his own words prove that he will not honor this oath that he must swear, because he hates what America is and was. This is why he seeks to change it.

Along with the choice of Marxist for President - the Democrats now have a super majority in the legislature, which means that the Obama, Reid, Pelosi triumvirate can proceed unopposed.

Contrary to gentlemen who have no problem compromising principles to appear congenial, who advocate the nation to ‘unify’ behind Obama, let us note that Obama himself made no such similar gracious overture in his victory speech. Instead he said: “I may not have won your vote tonight, but I will be your president too”. So even if you did not vote for the Marxist, too bad - because he is now your boss in his mind.

This is a remarkable statement when the very people who lent themselves to his campaign spent the last 8 years trashing the current occupant of the White House, referring to Bush as Hitler and vehemently exclaiming that he was not their president, even while on foreign soil.

So, Marxists pushing Socialism won, and liberty lost.

America has chosen it’s fate.

In truth, our experiment with liberty is now over as it reverts to totalitarian Socialism and an oligarchy that will now proceed to entrench itself into permanent political power.

I have read a lot of loathing, fear and anger today over the results of yesterday. But let us face this truth: America wants Socialism. America no longer reveres liberty and responsibility, America wants a free hand out because they have been led to envy and hate those that have succeeded. America has succumbed to the delusion to worship a mere man as a messiah, and grant him the power to control their lives and take from those they envy, and have it redistributed to themselves by the power of government.

This truth requires us to reflect on how we arrived here and what was initially intended for us as a people and nation. This truth requires that we grieve. America has been transformed into a pure democracy, a mob that has elevated a narcissistic demagogue to president.

We have seen this before in history.

We should know where it leads.

Some say today that we should not give into any defeatism. Some say today that this is just a temporary bump and we will be able to restore whatever damage to liberty is done in 4 years.

To that I quote Founder John Adams:

…A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty once lost is lost forever. When the People once surrender their share in the Legislature, and their Right of defending the Limitations upon the Government, and of resisting every Encroachment upon them, they can never regain it…

- John Adams, Letter to Abigail 1775

Some of your countrymen see something that perhaps you refuse to allow yourself to recognize in your patriotic bravado: that this mob that has chosen Socialism sees you as the enemy. Soon your neighbors and family will share the sentiment for the promise of bread or security.

While some may grieve aloud - some of us stuff it down deep and pretend we can restore what cannot be restored once lost.

How can we expect God to hear and rescue the nation from our follies when we have turned a blind eye to the genocide of the unborn in our own nation?

Who the hell are we but Germans who looked the other way when millions were sent to gas chambers and ovens? In our generation, on our watch as a Christian people - we stood idle while an entire generation of infants were stabbed in the brain and sucked out with a vacuum.

Where the hell was the Christian church to stand against that holocaust? Where the hell were they to teach their children and their brethren to be chaste and virtuous??

Where were they to decry sinful sexual deviancy and adultery??

Where was the Christian church when God was banned and removed from school?

Where was the Christian church when God’s commandments were tossed from the public square?

I’ll tell you where they were: silent. Capitulators to the deviancy that destroyed our culture.

Can we be surprised if God is silent in a coming time when we are in need of His aid?

Where will the Christian church be when they come to remove the scriptures and criminalize our teachings?

I tell you where they will be - the same damn place they were when the culture went to hell: standing with the mob.

Some of us are resolved to fight.

Some, because of however the Spirit directs - feel the need to flee.

And such persons are grieving, and we need to look to their example today.

Are we so callous, so indifferent or in such denial that we will not afford ourselves to do the same??

We deserve what is coming.

Despite what you are about to experience, our robes will be made white in the flames of tribulation - because the Christian church has gone lukewarm in America, neither hot, nor cold - God is going to vomit us forth from His mouth - and we will undergo trial by fire to see what kind of mettle we are made of.

Grieve now, and show God your remorse for how carelessly we regarded His precious gift of liberty.

Grieve now and show God in tears our sorrowfulness for slapping him in the face by neglecting our duty to guard the culture which was the vanguard of the Republic.

Grieve now, and show God our gratitude for the blessings we have squandered and the liberty we are about to lose.

Perhaps if we all grieved, and we repented - we might hold onto what we have just a little while longer by the Grace and Mercy of God.

But do not deceive yourselves by thinking we are going to restore what is and will be lost.

We were warned.

We did not heed.

Now we must prepare to endure, and hold on to the Crown of Life God has blessed us with.

Do not be discouraged with what you will see in the future. Be steadfast and endure knowing that this judgment is a long time coming.

I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever. - Thomas Jefferson

There is no crying in politics

We need to regroup and wait it out and HOPE Obama shows his bad side to the people so we can get on with rebuilding our shattered Republic in 2012...

I for one am never particularly suprised by god's silence -- take that as you will. And I do not grieve for my lost liberty. I am angry at the arrogant, deceitful, and sometimes downright ignorant politicians who seek to steal it. I am frustrated at the ignorance and gulibility of the populace to fail to understand the unique experiment of our constitutional democracy and the rights they loose through such ignorance. But I do not grieve. Instead, I read and educate myself further as to the inspiration of this great nation at the time of its formation, and I share with all that will listen that knowledge, for without knowledge we have nothing but despair. I do not grieve, and I neither know nor care to know "god" - if I am wrong on this I am sure he will correct the error when the time is right -- rather, I merely wish to do my part during my time on this big blue orb to help myself, my family, my neighbors, and my fellow man, live in freedom and liberty, without the tyranny of government, church, or ideology to restrain us from that liberty.

If reading your bible makes you feel better about your place in the universe, and provides you guidance as to what is right and what is wrong, GREAT, use that tool... but make equal time for the constitution and the implications of such a document upon civil society. We purport to live in a democratic republic and rely upon the rule of law, yet we allow our "leadership" to ignore the central and principal rule of law which limits the bounds of power.

It is not a time for grief, and mass prayer will not save us from tyranny. It is a time for REVOLUTION, and a return to the governing principals that founded this great nation! Pray, if you will, that it becomes a political revolution, rather than one paid for with the blood of patriots...

The fact that this started with scripture told me that it was going to be bullshit.

Guess that's not you. Move along now. :)

Nope, not moving along.

All I'm seeing is the same shit I saw in 2004 from my liberal friends. A bunch of blubbering and thinking that it was the end of the world that they didn't win, Bush was a fascist and we were all screwed.

4 years later they're all still here and doing fine. I know this crap will all pass once everyone cleans the sand out of their vag over the loss, but come on people, pull your heads out of eachothers asses and realize its a new day, we can't change the outcome and LIFE GOES ON

I tend to agree with you, and I would have made the same post I made above if McCain had been elected -- the damage is done, it didn't start in 2000, and unfortunately it will be up to us and ours to either fix it or let liberty call it a day -- I hope there are a hell of a lot of heads that start getting pulled out of alot of asses in the coming weeks/months/years.

I did what I could to de-scripturfy the thread!

my gosh get over it already. No wonder your on the internet instead of playing sports or competing, your a serious sore loser!

Interesting that you speak of God so often in this post yet do not seem to believe you can trust in His sovereignty. My God speaks of the triumvirate of values in His Word- "...faith, hope & love but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13)." Jesus said before Pilate that His kingdom was not of this world, yet your words seem to equate America with that Kingdom.

"Where is the hope? I meet millions of people who feel demoralized by the decay around us. The hope that each of us has is not in who governs us, or what laws we pass, or what great things we do as a nation. Our hope is in the power of God working through the hearts of people. And that's where our hope is in this country. And that's where our hope is in life."
(- From Charles Colson back in the 90's I think)

Am I disappointed in the election? Nah... that's not where my hope lies. Did I vote for Obama... no, and I am still not sure he was the best choice. We have survived a few other bad choices though.

X2 No matter what, it's in His will, and His plans are for our good not our destruction. I'm not happy bout Obama as pres, but God grants authority to whomever suits His plan. What worries me most is what this shows for our future, things may be getting tough soon.

The 2004 election was not the same as this one, that was a Dem vs Rep situation, this is Capitalism vs Socialism, huge difference

he has the basic ideas as Kerry, but Obama is socialist?

There uis never a reason to hope for someone to fuck up. Let them do what they do. If they dont fuck up, then everuything works out, so again, why HOPE he fucks up?

Funny... to the dems in 04 it was a freedom vs fascism election.

You do realize we still have a congress, supreme court right? Nobody elected Obama dictator. The dems may have control in the house/senate but they didn't reach the 60 seats needed to block filibuster. Plus I don't think every dem in congress is going to go socialist with Obama.

Have some faith in our form of government.

Have some faith in our form of government.

If our government would stay true to the lawful FORM of government, I think people might feel more secure. Unfortuantely King George, with the apathy of Congress, has seized and established in the executive far more power than our constitutionally provided FORM of government would allow. He has gone to war without declaration, he has signed bills he disagrees with by including "signing statements" which identify the portions he does not intend to uphold, and now we have vested in the executive, the APPOINTED secretary of treasury the power to nationalize businesses as he sees fit - anyone who thinks it is limited to $700B better read the act.

What affect does all this have upon an Obama presidency?? King George has created the "UNITARY EXECUTIVE", and that is what Obama inherits. He has the power and authority, albeit under unconstitutional legislation and unconstitutional executive order, to do whatever he pleases. If the democrat-controled congress did not have the stones to stand up to King George when they at least stated to despise all his policies, what misguided hope do you have that they will stand up to the newly anointed messiah??

Both parties are hopelessly corrupt, and the GOP can hardly scream about socialism after initiating the nationalization of our finacial markets and banking. Those who put faith in all of the wolves that are "guarding" the hen house that is our government put faith in a falacy -- there are no hens left. Only the people can manifest the change necessary, by educating themselves and their neighbors about the liberties we stand to loose and have already lost, by inundating your representatives with telephone calls, emails, letters etc., by screaming to the heavens, and hell, maybe even running for office and trying to fix it from the inside.

I do not have any particular dislike for Obama. He seems well spoken, well educated, and sincere. That said, I have no hope that he shares my vision, and that of our founders, of liberty, and change for change sake is not the kind of change I can believe in. No sour grapes, cause I couldn't bring myself to vote for the warmonger McCain either...
