The thing that irritates me the most about this is that it's like the 30 years of welfare reform didn't even happen--or that she didn't absorb any of it. Did the welfare queens driving Cadillacs and living on gov't handouts just go underground or something? Video says YES.

What makes you so sure she's a welfare recipient?
All I heard stated that was potential questionable is that she pulled her kid out of school to go to the rally and trust me plenty of folk on the other side are doing that. Hell the bullshit Yes on 8 people are using their kids all along to wave signs on corners.

It's pretty obvious that she isn't, given that she is complaining about having to work in order to pay for gas and her mortgage. It's also pretty obvious that she wants to be on it, given that she expressed the hope and desire that an Obama govt would pay for all that stuff without her having to work for it.
Ergo, she's not a welfare queen, she's a repressed welfare queen.

Using your children as political tools is wrong.
"It's for teh children" is the worst phrase in political history and almost always means "bad law." Remember, that's the phrase they use for almost all gun laws!
And yeah, I say NO ON EIGHT.

They may just be 'tools' in most political discussions. When a lesbian teacher takes her first grade students out of school to attend her 'wedding', it's sounds like the 'No on 8'ers' want children involved.
It makes sense for them to involve children. Their lives are obviously some sort of psychological letdown. They want to be considered 'normal', they wish they could bear children, but they can't.
They can't force adults to accept their beliefs, and under the law of course, they are equal, but that's not enough. So grab 'teh children' and shove it down their throats.
Marriage already has a definition. Obviously I say 'Yes on 8'.

Unless there is some unedited version of that video somewhere then she didn't say she wanted to be on welfare, she said she would not longer have to worry about financial stuff which could easily have been an expectation of a complete economic recovery and some unicorns and butterflies thrown in for good measure.
