Blower motor switch melted!

Ok so i need heat. I've got two kids and a wife that takes every chance she get's to call my xj a POS. It's a 95 sport that just rolled 200,000. Still runs good, only one problem. I thought the the blower motor had quit so I put a new one on it. Nothing. So I pulled out the switch and found that it was melted to the connector. Wired in a donation from my 89. Still nothing. Checked the fuse under the dr. side and it was good. I'm at a lose and about to agree with my wife. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Take a look at the bottom of your (this) thread ..... there is a couple of good links there. One with a write up and pictures.

Switch out the resistor with one I know works, nothing. The switch I pulled from my 89 was wired different. Same colors Just different terminals. I just ran them to the terminals they were on before. Should i color match them?
