Balljoint ?

My lower ball joints can be moved around by hand. (knuckle off) uppers are stiff. they are 2 years old. Are they shot? thanks

I'd venture to guess that they are shot if you can move them freely with your hand. might as well replace all 4.

Uppers last longer, and they seem fine. Plus my wallet is thin. Any body used a ball joint press to remove and reinstall the lower, the the upper ball joint in ?

when i did my joints, i had to go buy a press. I think it was like 200$ from napa. I was really surprised at how hard they were to get out, but the press, and a 2 foot bar did the trick no problem.

Depending on the tool set up you, you should be able to get the lower out without removing the upper, first. You're gonna have to jack up the front enough to to gain access with the tool. Basically you'd be using the tool upside down.... Definately recommend replacing all 4 though.
