angles and shim question

i just put my new cv driveshaft in and now i need to shim the axle. im measuring with an angle finder and im getting 20* on the driveshaft and 10* on the pinion. could anyone tell me how to figure out what shim i need?

A 5 should be really close,I think a 6 will put you over.

I believe your shim should be half the difference between the angles, or like you thought 5*. I'm sure I've seen 2.5* & 5*shims, but my catalogs only show them in even sizes, 2*,4*,6*& 8 degrees. If axle wrap is a problem, you might want to go with 6* anyway though.
