need help W/93 cherokee no start

it is a 93 xj With 4.0
i can get it to crank an run for just a second some times when it does itis real rough
has any one else had this problem?

yup, either the cps or possibly the fuel pressure regulator

I am having a similar problem except, mine will run for 2-3 seconds then quit running. I am being told it is the CPS as well.

Try hooking up a pressure guage to the fuel rail line output to see what your fuel pressure is if you can. 40 - 50 psi is normal from what I have been told.

You stated it runs rough right? Does your car stay running and is rough at idle? If so, I don't think it is the CPS. It maybe the Fuel filter, ECU, Coil are all things that can cause it to run rough.

well it is no the CPS, changed it
i pulled the fuel line from the rail an tried to crank
just not much flow or pressure
so i removed the filter an bypassed it still the same thing

so i guss i will be looking for a fuel pump
