I really wanted to keep the stock alloys, but need less backspacing to clear steering and for flex. I tried the SpiderTrax spacers, but the net backspacing is 4.00" and that puts the tire too far out for the gestapo. My net goal is 4.75" BS on 15" with a width of either 7" or 8".
I want wheels that are both hub-centered and lug-centered, like the factory wheels. To acomplish this, the ID of the center bore should be 2.800". The Crager Soft 8 and others I find online have a center bore diameter of 3.300"
Can anybody recommend a wheel and a stocking vendor, hopefully a
supporting vendor? I need to have them in 8 days when I leave for Moab.
