Hard Start

Yes I did a search but came up blank. Have a 2001 4.0 with AW4.
Back-up to last week Thurs, start with a stumble and then ran fine a mile or two down the road it just died. Would not start pulled over and tried again it would only run if I gave it a bit of fuel with the skinny pedel. Discounected the battery for about 1 min started fine ran fine until today. It would not start unless I pumped the skinny pedel while cranking, but not idle. It drives fine once warm but the idle is low about 1/2 want has been normal. Have a scan tool but no codes poped and check engine light did not come on.
Fuel problem? What should I be looking at to fix this?
My thought is fuel reg as it is machnical and has no sensors are attached to it.

the iac motor could be going bad or the throttlebody may be gummed up as well as the iac opening

Thanks for your reply, and your thought was in the running but it was the TPS it was out 17 deg's replaced it and all is good so far.
