just picked up a set today at wrecking yard and debating if I want to make drip pans for them or not. Just wanted to see if any of you guys dont run drip pans and if extreme northwest rain or car washes cause you problems or things like water freezing gives some issues.

I haven't had an issue with overheating at all here in the PNW. Is this mod for the aesthetics, or to fix an overheating problem?

If I was to do it though, I would definitely do the drip pans with all of the rain we have here.

i run a bit hot at slow idle so i figured it will help a bit but honestly these things look great on xj's so i had to snag a set.

They have the potential to help with some IAT's too.

Run drip pans if it is going to sit over any open air filter or electronics/sensors.

well im real happy with the way they turned out, I will park it in the garage till I make drip pans.
