Click from front in 4 wheel drive

Hello:
My XJ has a new problem. When I am in 4 wheel drive I am getting a clicking sound which seems to be coming from the front, right of the vehicle. As long as it is in 4 wheel drive it will click. Sometimes several clicks and some just one. Anyone heard of this? It does not click in 2 wheel drive. Thanks, I would appreciate any advice.

passenger side axle shaft u-joint needs to be replaced. there are many how-to write ups on here...have fun!

After some searching I thought that may be the case. But even if it only does it in 4x4?
