went to junkyard today and they have a 03 grand with the 4.0l in it . my ? is will this intake fit my 90? what will it improve? what all do i need to pull to make this swap? thanks in advance

1990 is the RENIX motor, different manifold all together.....

is the renix motor a 4.0l? my xj has the 4.0l ho engine ?

If it's a 91, then the newer manifold will swap right on. You will use the throttle body and all the sensors from the 91.

thanks thats what i thought any pointers on how to get the bottom bolts off. it is rather tight and my hands are not small.

a ratchet usually helps

I believe you will need the p/s steering bracket & pump. The older ones will not mount to the newer intakes. JIM.
