Will a 8.25 diff from a 70's Chrysler product bolt under an '89 XJ?

Are you asking if the differential cover will bolt on or a complete 8.25 axle? More specific please.

yea if you weld shock mounts and leaf mounts from an xj to it.....

The '70s 8.25s are 27 spline, and come in 5 x 5 bolt pattern. A late '70s Diplomat might have the 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern, but every one I've seen was 5 x 5.
