Holes in bellhousing

93 jeep 4dr, 4.0.5spd, My brothers jeep, there appears to be large holes in the bellhousing, jeep still runs and drived great! one on the top about 2" rouns and one on the passenger bottom about the same size, and they were not there before, anyone seen this happen?? I think its the peugot trans

The flywheel could have through a weight, happened a 77 Olds Cutlas I had .

If it's a 93 it's definitely not the Peugeot unless it was swapped in. Anything after 1990 for sure was an AX-15 behind the 4.0. As far as the holes, I can't tell you, but if there's a way to seal them off, you may want to.
