87 waggy shifting early

Hello,

I'm having problems with my waggy shifting early, it shifts into 2nd at 3k and 3rd and 4th at about 2200, its been set at power since I was given the jeep, but I think the switch is broke(it doesn't light up and when I flip it to comfort it doesn't do anything) is there a fuse or relay that I can check to fix this?

Should be a fuse in the fuse box marked "trans". If thats blown or making bad contact (btdt) then the power light on the switch doesn't lite up. You also don't get backup lights as this fuse also feeds the NSS switch.

Check your TPS.
