Can i use heavy grade speaker wire to bridge a cb cable?

CB coaxail cable is an inner wire surrounded by an outer shield wire. This specialized wire just for communications radios and there are different types of cable depending on which type of radio you are using.
You can't just add on some more cable or wire and have it work right. The only way to extend the antenna cable is to put a new PL259 screw in end on it and to get a another section of RG58a/u cable with PL259's on both ends. You also would need a double female connector. It would be easier to just get a longer cable assembly. Try a local truck stop, look for a CB shop or go online. Try www.WalcottCB.com

How much more cable do you need? I have some RG58a/u laying around.
