Transmission Fuse Blows...

When ever the TQ locks... any ideas. I replace it, and as soon as I get to a speed where it shoud lock up, pop... the light goes out on the power switch and the fuse blows. I have brett's shifter and Quadruple checked that it was connected right, as well as confirming with Brett. I know it did it before I installed the shifter (I noticed the light would go out on the power rocker) but I did not know that was related to the TQ at the time. Any ideas?

Measure it's resistance between the torque converter solenoid wire to ground to see if its shorted. Try unhooking it and see if you still get the fuse popping.
