D44 in a 1988 Comanche is not a c-clip, correct?

The 1988 Comanche/XJ D44 doesnt have c-clips does it? Dont the shafts just slide out after removing the (4) axle bracket bolts?

if its a little stubborn coming out, you can turn the drum around, tread 3 lug nuts on a little bit and use the drum as a slide hammer, works great

i did this and used a RBFH

if you take out the brake cylinder, you can use a socket extension on the backside of the axle flange too, you just have to pretty much take all of the brakes off first

Getting the shafts out was pie. A pry bar with a small amount of leverage and they came right out.
