Question about Ford 8.8 swap

My question is, does anyone know if the rear end out of an explorer with the V6 engine is the 8.8 or does it have to be one out of an explorer with a V8. Also the ones with 4:10's do they have any type of limited slip or anything? thanks.

If you do a search on 8.8 swaps you will find all the specs you need for the 8.8 and how to read the diff tags. Every Exploder came with it. 95 up are all 31 spline shafts with disc brakes. It doesn't matter if its from a 4x2, 4x4, v6 or v8, or from a Mountaineer. I cheated and bought mine from a guy who hunts them down.

My 8.8 is out of an explorer with a v6. The only way to tell if they have limited slip is either pull it apart and look or look at the tag on the axle. for example: 3L73 = 3.73 gears with a "L"imited slip
